New Appointments and Promotions

Updated On: Jan 19, 2013 (08:59:00)

The Lexington Fire Department recently promoted four firefighters to the rank of Lieutenant.  These new officers will for the first time since the 1980's be assigned to the Ladder truck.  Providing a supervisor to the ladder adds capabilites and responsibilites we have not seen in nearly 30-years.  A welcome return!.  Promoted to Lieutenant were Lt. Ned Bolle, Lt. Bob Croke, Lt. Scott Morency and Lt. Chris Ford.  Congratulations to all of them from L-1491

Nearly a month later three new Firefighter/Paramedics were hired and appointed including FF/P Joe Annese, Doug Boudrow, and Rob Palardy. These firefighters were added to our base staff levels and will be assigned to groups to support the staffing of a second ambulance.  The appointments are partially funded through a SAFER grant from the Federal government and will allow the staffing of Medic 2 to run Monday - Friday from 0800-1800 hrs in East Lexington.  The department has not seen staffing levels increase since the 1970's and not only does it bring added resources for medical response but broadens safety for all firefighters during fires.  Local 1491 welcomes and congratulates these three new firefighter/paramedics.
