About Lexington Firefighters
The Lexington Firefighter’s Union was charted by the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) in 1963 and affiliated with the AFL/CIO and CLC, as well as the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts (PFFM). One hundred percent of our membership is dedicated to providing professional fire suppression, prevention, hazard mitigation, and emergency medical and rescue services. The union’s primary goal is to act in the best interest of our members to provide a safe and effective resource for town residents. We constantly strives to assure that the department meets nationally recognizes standards and work together with department and town leadership to meet this and many other challenges that occur in our changing world. We are proud to provide community service through public education, sponsorship of youth sports, educational scholarships, and other programs advocating safety to older adults and children. Several of these programs are funded through the union’s Firefighters Aide & Relief Fund with generous donations from residents and local businesses. The Lexington Firefighters union has a long history of providing accurate information about the departments mission and direction. We hope to use this electronic platform to continue to share news, upcoming events, and opinions on various topics
